TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
