Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the thing this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
